Labour needs a Gap Year to renew itself

creasyIn a new Fabian online paper, 'Labour's Gap Year: One step to change our party culture in 12 months', Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow, argues that too many activists’ evenings and weekends are overwhelmed with party bureaucracy.

The two main problems facing the Labour Party, according to Stella, are the "culture that inadvertently alienates people and a structure that drains time, energy and effort." A year of debate, campaigning and relationship-building – and no CLP meetings – will allow Labour to renew itself.
