Information: John is MP for Southampton Itchen. He was elected to the Executive Committee in 2004. John co-authored the Fabian pamphlet The Politics of Pension Reform with Richard Brooks.



He was appointed Secretary of State at the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills in June 2007.
